ORDINANCE #04-34 CITY OF RAMSE¥ ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 5 OF THE CITY CODE, WHICH CHAPTER IS KNOWN AS "MUNICIPAL REGULA- TIONS.'' AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC- TION 5.08 TITLED "PUBLIC NUISANCE" BY THE REPEAl, OF SAID EXISTING SEC- TION AND REPLACING IT WITH A NEW SECTION 5.08, WHICH NEW SECTION SHALL CONTINUE TO BE TITLED "PUB- LIC NUISANCE." The City of Ramsey ordains: SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. Ch. apter S of the Ramsey City Code is amended by repealing the existing Section 5.08 and replacing it with the fol- lowing text for a new Section 5.08: SECTION 2. OFFICIAL SUMMARY The following is tim official summary of ordinance #04-34, which has been approved by the City Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of tile ordinance. Tile existing Section 5.08 of Ramsey's City Code has been repealed and replaced with new text relating to Public Nuisance. Tile purpose of this section is to take all reasonable measures within the City's jurisdiction to prevent the estab- lishment of activities that maintain or per- mit a condition which unreasonably annoys, injures or endangers the health, morals, decency, safety, or public peace so that such activities do not affect the comfortable enioyment of life or proper- ty. A complete copy of this ordinance is available for review at Ramsey City Hall. SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and thirty (30) days after its publication according to law, subject to City Charter Provision, Section 5.04.
