170. 014E HO~E OCCLrP^TION5 <br /> <br />A home occupation shall be permitted as an accessory use if it complies <br />with the requirements of this section. <br /> <br /> 1. The home occupation shall be carried on by a member of <br />the family residing in the dwelling unit with not more than one (1) <br />employee who is not part of the family. <br /> <br /> 2. The home occupation shall be carried on wholly within <br />the principal structure unless specifically authorized by the condi- <br />tional use permit granted by this Section. <br /> <br /> 3. Exterior displays or signs other than those permitted <br />by the city's sign ordinance, exterior storage of materials, and <br />exterior indication of the home occupation or variation from the <br />residential character of the principal structure shall not be per- <br />mitted. <br /> <br /> 4. Objectionable noise, vibration, smoke, dust, electri-. <br />cal disturbance, odors, heat, or glare shall not be produced. <br /> <br /> · 5. The home occupation shall not create excessive automobile <br />traffic within the neighborhood. Off-street parking may be a require- <br />ment if so determined by the planning commission and city council as <br />a result of the conditional use permit process. <br /> <br /> 6. The person desiring to carry.on the home occupation shall <br />make application for and obtain a conditional use permit from the city. <br />The conditional use permit application shall be processed in accordance <br />with the procedures,of Section 170.016 of this chapter. <br /> <br /> <br />
