The underlying outlot that makes up the plat contains a drainage- <br />and utility easement for a ponding area..That ponding area was' reconfigured with the plat of <br />Rivenwick Village. On June 22, 2004, the City Council conducted a public hearing and <br />introduced an ordinance to vacate the underlying drainage and utility easement. In accordance <br />with the City Charter, the ordinance is now eligible for adoption. City Staff recommends <br />adoption of the ordinance to vacate the underlying easement. <br /> <br />Motion by Councihnember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to adopt Ordinance <br />#04-31 to vacate the drainage and utility easement in Outlot A, Rivenwick 3rd Addition. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ganqec, Councilmembers Elvig, Pearson, Cook, Strommen, <br />and Zimmennan.' Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Kurak. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Local Officials Meeting <br /> <br />Mayor Garnet reported that a local officials meeting is scheduled for July 28, 2004 at Chomonix <br />with golf available beginning at 12:00 noon and a dinner at 5:00 p.m. Mayor Gamec suggested <br />contacting Assistant City Administrator Nelson if anyone is interested in attending. <br /> <br />2) No Wake Ordinance <br /> <br />Mayor Gainec requested clarification on the no wake ordinance, noting that the ordinance states <br />the no wake zone is from mile marker 4.4 to 5.2. He was under the impression the no wake zone <br />was I?om the Anoka border to mile marker 5.2. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik confirmed the no wake zone is .from mile marker 4.4 to <br />5.2 and agreed to obtain a copy of the City Council minutes reflecting this ordinance. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated he has received comments from residents who are concerned about erosion <br />and requested further review by the Public Works department. <br /> <br />3) Annual Safety Program <br /> <br />Police Captain Dwyer announced the City will hold its annual kids safety program on July 20 <br />and 21, 2004, at the Boy Scout Camp on Highway 471 He indicated a banquet will be held on <br />July 2I at the Fire Station and invited the City Council members to attend if available. He stated <br />that residents may contact Joleen Wiemann at 763-427-6812 for further information. Police <br />Captain Dwyer indicated they have received a good response for the event. <br /> <br />.4) National Night Out <br /> <br />Police Captain Dwyer announced that this year's National Night Out will be held on Tuesday, <br />August 3, 2004.
