this project will provide an improved streetscape of Bunker Lake Boulevard and serve as <br />excellent screening for properties located to its south. <br /> <br />Basalt Properties, LLC will be constructing a 40,000 S.F. Multi-tenant building to satisfy the <br />requirement of the T & G Land project that commenced in 2001. There are plans for two more <br />27,000 square foot buildings to be built at a later date. This project was brought forth to City <br />Council on June 22nd and all required approvals were granted for the development agreement. <br />Look for construction to begin sometime in September. <br /> <br />New Developments (residential and commercial): The Planning Commission will be <br />reviewing a site plan request from Sharp and Associates for the development of a 10,000 square <br />foot office/warehouse facility for T & D Holdings (TLM Cabinets). The project area is located at <br />the corner of 141st Avenue and Azurite Street (the old Morrell property). <br /> <br />TSM is proposing to construct 43,240 square feet of mini-storage units along Ramsey Blvd, just <br />north of County Road #116. The City Council will be reviewing the site plan sometime in <br />September. <br /> <br />Sharp and Associates received site plan approval for the development of 30,770 square feet of <br />mini-storage units. Grading and site preparation has already commenced. <br /> <br />Business Grand Openings:. Studio One Dance, located in Town Square off of Highway #47, <br />recently opened and held a ribbon cutting ceremony coordinated by the Anoka Area Chamber of <br />Commerce. Ramsey General Rental is located at 7103 Highway 10 and recently opened their <br />doors to the public. Although they did not host a grand opening/ribbon cutting ceremony they <br />were featured in the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce newsletter and are excited to be located <br />in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Marketing Initiatives: Staff would like to discuss with the EDA another direct mailing of the <br />Balancing Growth piece. <br /> <br />Business Communication Initiatives: The next issue of the Business Connection is anticipated <br />to be published by the middle of September. Staff would like to put together a survey asking <br />readers what they like and dislike about the publication, what topics they want to see in the <br />newsletter, and asking for participation as a business spotlight. <br /> <br />EDA Pro,iects: <br /> <br />Douglas and Gary Hanson (Bakestar Property): No new information to report at this time <br /> <br />Business Tour: There are several components staff would like to discuss with the EDA <br />regarding the business tour: <br /> <br />Potential Businesses: A few businesses the EDA may want to consider to tour as are as <br />follows: A&R Manufacturing/Seat Yourself Inc., Panther Precision, and Building <br />Fasteners. Staff asked Jim Lundeen from RJM/General Paper Products to participate in <br />the Business Spotlight for the next issue of the Business Connection. Mr. Lundeen was <br />excited to participate and therefore staff thought it would be appropriate to also tour <br />General Paper Products, again Mr. Lundeen was excited to be apart of the business tour. <br />Since one business has already been confirmed staff would suggest the EDA choose one <br />more business to tour. Staff is suggesting only touring 2 businesses this time in an effort <br /> <br /> <br />
