P IMINARY PLAT - ED KLEMISH <br />P & Z Public' Hearing <br />June 4, 1979 <br /> <br />PIANN]IqG & ZONING COM~SSION <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANORA OOUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the gamsey City Planning & Zoning <br />Conmission held a Public Hearing on June 4, 1979, at the Ramsey Municipal <br />Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 <br /> <br />Chairman Ken Peterson called the Public hearing to order at 7:50 P.M. with <br />the following in attendance: <br /> <br />Ken Peterson <br /> <br />Kathy Schneider <br />Gerry Zinmerman <br />John Hubbard <br /> <br />Also present: <br /> <br />LlOyd Schnelle, City Administrator <br />Peter Raatikka, City Engineer <br /> <br />Chairman KenPeterson explained the purpose of this public hearing is to <br />discuss and receive input regarding a request for preliminary plat approval <br />for Mr. Ed Klemish. The plat involved is in an area bordered by Trott <br />Brook n°rthof Shady LawnEstates. <br /> <br />Mr. Jeff Caine, Surveyor, appeared onbehalf of Mr. Klemishbefore the P & Z <br />ConnRssion. He stated that Mr. Kl~_shwould be arriving late at the meeting. <br /> <br />He presented a new revised 2% acre plan. It was noted that the proposed <br />plat was formerly called Ed Klemish sketch plan and is now entitled "Trott <br />Brook Estates Preliminmry Plat." <br /> <br />Mr. Terry Pederson, 17020 Yttri~nStreet N.W., expressed concern about <br />additiorml traffic that would be generated by this new plat through his area <br />due to the fact that there is no other access for the plat onto Highway 47. <br /> <br />Mr. Richard Cich, 5!;40 '170th Lane N.W., asked if it would be possible for <br />Mr. Klemish to gain access to the west on a possible road out to County Road <br />5. Mr. Caine explained that Mr. Kl~sh doesn't own the land but he is sure <br />that someone will probably be developing it in the future. <br /> <br />Richard Warner, 6441 169th Lane N.W., was concerned about additional traffic <br />also. He said that if this is allowed to go in and then someone-develops <br />a piece next to Mr. Klemish on one side and then on the other side and <br />still not have any access road it will crea~ even more traffic through <br />their addition. He expressed concern about the safety of little children. <br /> <br />Mr. Caine said the same person owns all of the land from Highway 47 up <br />to Mr. Klemish' s proposed addition. · <br /> <br />Mr. Bob Brown, 6420 169thLane N.W., said there is noway hew ants to see <br />this development go in because it will mean more houses and more traffic <br />and he is against the plat if it has to use Shady Lawn Estates roads as an <br />access. <br /> <br /> <br />
