Mayor Gamec informed Mr. Hicks that according to the ordinance he is a <br />non-conforming use and he will have to request a conditional use permit <br />to operate a business in a residential zone or else remove everything <br />from the area. <br /> <br />Mr. Hanson reported that Mr. Hicks property is screened by trees for <br />the three summer months but that there is no screening the rest of the <br />year. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann seconded by Councilman Sorteberg that Mr. <br />Hicks have everything removed ~oncerning his business operation by <br />August 15, 1979. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said he is opposed to this because it would be a hardship <br />for Mr. Hicks to relocate the heaVy eqUipment and that he should be <br />able to store this equipment until the leaves'are off the trees. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg said that he feels that this is no surprise to <br />Mr. Hicks and that he has known about the violation and complaints. <br /> <br />Motion by Gamec, seconded by Mickelson that Mr. Hicks remove the barrels, <br />junk cars, tool shed, parts and any related materials to his business <br />other than the heavy equipment by August 15i 1979, and:alt consirnction <br />equipment is to be' remOved' bY September 15', 1979. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes': Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Mickelson, Reimann <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec directed that the building inspector revieW this area and <br />assure that progress is being made to remedy this situation. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACCEPTANCE/REJECTION 'OF 'CONSTRUCTION 'PROJBCT 'BID <br /> <br />The following construction project bids were opened and received at 10:00 <br />A.M., Friday, July 20, 1979 at the Ramsey Municipal Center. <br /> <br />a) Construction Project 79-6 (Gorham's Sandy Acre.s, Waco and Xkimo Streets) <br />b) Construction Project 79-7 (1S6th Avenue between Variolite and Armstrong) <br />c) Construction Project 79-8 (Jaspar and Ironstone Streets, 159th, 160th, 161st <br /> and 162nd Lanes) <br />d) Construction Project 79-9 (Jaspar,.Kamacite,' Marble, :.Olivine, Quartz <br /> Street',' 161st, 162nd, 165rd, 164th Lanes <br /> and 166th Avenue N.W.) <br /> <br />The bids were as follows: <br /> <br />'TOTAL BID <br /> <br />NDH, Inc. <br />Hardrives, Inc. <br />C.
