Engineer Raatikka explained that NDH Inc., is the lowest bidder but~ that <br />the bid price is 13 percent above the feasibility report estimate because <br />of the fact that prices are going up constantly and because there is a lot <br />of work let out this summer, companies are not as "hungry" for jobs. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to <br />accept the bid of NDH Inc., in the amount of $392,005.00 and adopting <br />Resolution No. 79-51 accepting the bid. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Mickelson, Sorteberg <br />and Reimann. Voting no: None. Absent: Councilman Cox. <br /> <br />Following is a summary of the projects on an individual basis: <br /> <br />PROJECT BID'PRICE <br /> <br />79-6 $100,957.50 <br />79-7 27,817.50 <br />79-8 88,210.00 <br />79-9 175,020.00 <br /> <br />ROLAND LOOYAN REGARDING 'PROPOSED'SKETCH.'PLgN'(LOCATION'1668S'GARNET STREET) <br /> <br />Discussion was held on the road easement and lot sizes allowable. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec asked if the present ordinance Calls for inclusion of the <br />road in the acreage calculations. <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka and Attorney' Goodrich said that it does not at present <br />but that it used to be included'. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said he could concur with the subdivision is Mr. Looyan can <br />meet the 2½ acre requirement including the road for buildable sites and meet <br />all other ordinance requirements. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann asked about the necessity of the road easement for <br />access to the property to the south. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec questioned if Councilmembers would rather keep the Garnet Street <br />easement and give variances on the lot sizes'. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann stated that he did not want to give variances on the lots <br />and that the City could still keep the street easement and Mr. Looyan could <br />have two lots on the property he owns. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg concurred with Plan B which is three lots with a cul de <br />sac if he can meet soil requirements. <br /> <br />HEDSTR(31 ELECTRIC 'DEVELOPMENT CONTRACT ON SITE 'PLAN <br /> <br />Discussion was held on the amount of parking spaces necessary. <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka reported that the elevations shown are not tied into <br />anything and he is less than one foot short of grade difference over the <br />entire site.
