NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />PETITION "CHILDREN PLAYING" SIGN '164TH LANE 'N.W. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox, seconded by Councilman Reimann to authorize <br />the street department to install 30 MPH signs and Watch Out For Children <br />signs as needed on 164th Lane N.W. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Votdng yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Reimann and <br />Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />LION'S CLUB '-REQUEST TO 'USE BASEMENT AREA'OF 'CITY 'HALL <br /> <br />Carol Andreasen, 5510 164th Lane N.W., addressed the Council in regard <br />to using the City Hall basement for a Halloween Party for the children <br />in Ramsey. She would like to conduct a teen dance in the basement. <br />She has the Jaycees and Lion's Club backing for this project. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec expressed concern with liability, parking and controlling <br />the teenagers. <br /> <br />Mrs. Andreasen said she talked to the Community School director and <br />he felt it would be a good thing for teenagers and he knows the police <br />will be willing to supervise this project. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said there should not be any problem getting some <br />responsible adults who woUld supervise the dance.' <br /> <br />Administrator Schnelle said he would check with the insurance company <br />in regard to liability coverage. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec told Mrs. Andreasen to submit her plans to the police department. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said he would like to see Mrs. Andreasen get the program <br />together and that is what this building is intended for is citizen's use. <br /> <br />' BINGO PERMIT 'AND LICENSE 'TO 'SELL '5.2 'BEER; 'REQIJ~. On September 9, 1979. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen COx, Reimann and <br />Serteberg.
