PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Ramsey City Council held a <br />public hearing on August 27, 1979, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, <br />15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilman Cox <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br />Councilman Mickel son <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Adm. Schnelle <br />City Engr. Raatikka <br />City Atty. Goodrich <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:40 P.M. <br />The purpose of this hearing is to consider'a rezOning request of <br />Mr. William Aydt, owner of Bill's Auto Body at 14964 Nowthen Boulevard, <br />Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Mr. Aydt appeared before the Council stating his request to have his <br />property rezoned, from UMB-2 to (4) acres' where his home and auto body <br />are located to UB-Urban Business~ and (3) acres' to the southeast to be <br />changed to UMB-Urban Multiple Business. Mr. Aydt stated that the <br />Planning Co~nission felt that the' (3) acres adjacent to the residential <br />area' shoUld be UMB to serve as a buffer' zone and that he would like <br />his body shop property zoned UB with restrictions .against :restaurants <br />etc. <br /> <br />Mr. Ben Deemer, member of the P & Z Commission, stated that the Planning <br />& Zoning Commission did not recommend thi~ property rezOned but that if <br />Council is going to consider rezOning file' proPerty, then. it should be <br />zoned UMB.
