POTENTIAL LAND USE CATEGORIES

RURAL RESIDENTIAL

The purpose of the rural residential land use area {RR) is to provide very
low intensity residential land use.

RR Guidelines and Criteria

. Type of Development: - Single family residential

Minimum Lot Area - 2.S acres
Per Unit:

Locational Criteria: - May be located in areas with no public services.
but assurances should be made so that no damage
will be done to the natural environment.

RESIDBNTIAL LOW.DENSITY

The residential 10w density (RL) designation of the Policy Plan identifies
areas to be developed at the lowest residential densities in Ramsey. Although
there are some areas that will remain rural in character for some time, the
total development pattern for Ramsey indicates that within the planning

· period, the total area within the City limits will be developed at urban
densities. Rather than suggesting a strict, unifdrm pattern of single
family detached dwellings, the Plan indicates a. variety of building
types and densities that will be encouraged to provide housing balance with-
in each neighborhood as well as within the entire City. The following are
guidelines and criteria for development within the RL areas.

RL Guidelines and Criteria

Units Per Acre:

.Type of Development:

- Up to four

- Single fmm~ ly detached, dwellings

- Two family attached dwellings
