Mayor Gamec <br />Page Three <br />July 24, 1980 <br /> <br />Based upon the EQB staff review, we have concluded that we concur with <br />all the recommendations of the Metropolitan Council. Before the staff <br />proceeds further with this plan review I would like to have an official <br />response from the city regarding its willingness to prepare the recom- <br />mended changes to the plan and regulations. <br /> <br />My interpretation of previous discussions is that the city has no real <br />objections to making all necessary changes with .the exception of the <br />changes pertaining to lots size. However, the Mississippi Designation <br />Order requires that all plans and regulations be consistent with the <br />Metropolitan Council's Development Guide. This clearly indicates that <br />the City's proposed two-and-one-half acre lot size requirement is in- <br />consistent with %he Critical Area Designation Order. Would you please <br />specifically address how you propose to modify your current lot size <br />standard. <br /> <br />I would appreciate the city's response to these recommended changes as <br />soon as possible so staff can proceed with final review of your plan <br />and regulations.
