Mr. Jansen sa~d he had no p~roblems with the proposed contract. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said regarding the entire proposal he doesn't think it <br />appropriate to be so restrictive in a commercial district when we permit <br />co~lerclal/business to exist in residential districts without any regu- <br />lations. He thinks it is arbitrary to put Mr. Jansen through the admini- <br />strative process he has been th_rough when we don't even look at the busi- <br />nesses in the residential areas that are violating the ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Counci~nan Sorteberg to <br />approve the contract with lit. Janson as presented and said approval to <br />be based on the findings of fact accepted above. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson <br />and Reimann. Voting no None. Councilman Cox abstained. <br /> <br />~2tI)OWBR00K ESTATES <br /> <br />Mr. Leo Stern, Attorney representing the developer, Gary Petrucci andMike <br />Petrucci were present and stated they had no objections with the findings <br />of fact as presented. <br /> <br />M~. Stern said he felt the preliminary plat is in cormpliance with the <br />City's ordinances and Administrator Schnelle said they are in compliance <br />with the City's policy as it exists. <br /> <br />Council discussed the general problem of only one access to the plat. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to adopt the <br />findings of fact as presented and to approve the prelin~inary plat based on <br />(~1) the previous information received by Council at its July 8, 1980 meet- <br />lng (?) the findings of fact, and (_3) that the lot assessment problem has <br />been resolved and approval is contingent on construction of all streets as <br />shown on the plat and compliance with all other City Code and Ordinance <br />regulations. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, ~ckelson and <br />Cox. Voting no Councilman Reimann. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg directing <br />staff to prepare language to amend the City Code so that one access plats <br />can be eliminated in the future and limit dwellings which will exist on <br />dead end roads. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes l~ayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, ~ckels0n, <br />Reimann and Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />BURNS TOWNSHIP COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained the plan and said he didn't understand their lot <br />size scheme.
