On Page 8, Item g, "Wastes", City Engineer Raatikka recommended the second <br />sentence be changed to read, "Ail liquid wastes containing any organic or <br />toxic matter shall 'be disposed of as prescribed by the City Engineer." <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the commission to n~ke the above change. <br /> <br />On Page 9, Ben Deemer recon~nended deleting the "Manufactuming" and "Warehousing <br />and WholesaleTM items. <br /> <br />Building Official Berg said they listed industrial and business together in <br />the "Off-Street Parking" section. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the commission to delete the above recommended items. <br /> <br />On Page 9, City Engineer Raatikka recommended deleting "Industrial District" <br />under the item "Offices". <br /> <br />It was 'the consensus of the commission to make the above deletion. <br /> <br />On Page 10, Item No. 2, "Design and Construction", Chairman Peterson recommended <br />adding to the next to the last sentence to read, "Clear Aisle widths shall be <br />at least twelve (12) feet for forty-five (45) degree parking, eighteen (18) <br />feet long for head-in parking. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the commission to make the above addition. <br /> <br />Ben Deemer noted that there was a fourth paragraph which had been deleted <br />and he read the delet~ paragraph for commission information: <br /> <br />"Commercial Areas - Outside parking of vehicles used by a business shall <br /> be limited to two (2) vehicles not more than 9,000 lbs. GIrW or manufacturers <br /> GUVR whichever is greater. All other business vehicles will be stored inside <br /> a structure designed for this purpose." <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated there was a further revised copy of the ordinance <br />where business and industrial were con~bined because they were very much the same. <br /> <br />On Page 15, Item j, "Loading", second paragraph, it was recormmended adding to <br />the sentence to read, "A loading facility shall include the dock for loading <br />and unloading, the berth for the vehicle at the dock and maneuvering areas, <br />exclusive of Other parking areas: <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the commission to make the above addition. <br /> <br />On Page 15, "Loading", third paragraph, Ben Deemer recommended deleting the <br />sentence which reads, "Ail such 'space shall t~e in the rear of the principle <br />structure and shall be used exclusively for the loading and unloading of <br />merchandise." because some businesses are not allowed to have this in the rear. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the commission to delete the above sentence. <br /> <br />Ail other action on this ordinance was tabled and the commission will <br />review the revised copy at their next regular m~eting. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka noted that Bill Goodrich was going to redo some of the sections <br /> <br />P g Z Regular Meeting Page ~ 8/4/80 <br /> <br /> <br />
