Public Hearing <br />P& Z-1- <br />ll/3/SO <br /> <br />PLANNING AND ZONING CO~ISSION <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAI~EY <br /> Anoka County <br /> State of llinnesota <br /> <br />A public hearing of the R~nsey Planning and Zoning Commission was called <br />to order by Mr. Kenneth Peterson, Chairman, at 7:45 P.M., November 3, <br />1980. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Kenneth Peterson, Chairman <br />Ms. Katherine Schneider <br />Mr. Art Dunn <br />Mr. Benjamin Deemer <br />Mr. Harry Ellis <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Ronald West <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT AND BUSINESS SIGN VARIANCE; CASE OF <br />LINDA MONTE, 6~11.- 169th LANE N.W.: <br /> <br />Mr. Ken Peterson, Chairman, informed the Commission and the public present <br />at this public hearing the purpose of it. He further requested that if any <br />citizen had a positive or negative comment OhMs. Linda Monte's request for <br />a Home Occupation Permit to please speak up so that it may become a matter <br />of record when it goes before the Planning and Zoning regular meeting for a <br />decision. Accordingly, the City Administrator introduced a letter (which <br />each Planning and Zoning member at the meeting received a copy) from l~. and <br />Mrs. Richard Warner, 6441 - 169th Lane N.W. which stated they were not in <br />opposition to granting a Home Occupation Permit as long as it did not create <br />excessive traffic on said street. They were opposed to granting a variance <br />to the sign or any sign advertising a business. <br /> <br />A ~.~. Tom Connover stated he had no objections to the proposed Home Occupation <br />Permit for Ms. Linda Monte. <br /> <br />It was stated to the Planning and Zoning by the City Administrator that they <br />could only act on the Home Occupation Permit. The sign variance would have <br />to go before the Board of Adjustment for a public hearing and action. <br /> <br />No other comments were received.
