8) City Attorney Regarding Awarding Bond Issue Bid for $375,000 1980 Series II Mayor Gamec opened the bids for the General Obligation Improvement Bond Issue $375,000 1980 Series II. 1) Northwestern National Banco at 8.1475% 2) American International Bank at 8.1457% 3) First Bank of St. Paul at 8.3770% 4) Allison/Wm. Company at 8.177% $194,320,00 $194,275,00 $199,793,05 $195,025.00 Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimama to adopt Resolution #80-147d to accept the bond issue bids for $375,000 1980 Series II and to award the low bid to American International at $194~275 at 8.1457 % interest rate. Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson, Reimann and Cox. Voting no-None. 9) Price Qutoes on Police Car City Administrator Schnelle said the Chief of Police is requesting that Council accept the price quote from Elk River Ford Mercury which is the second lowest price quote as the lowest price quote did not meet the speci- fications in engine size. Much discussion was held on this issue. City staff was directed to ask the Police Department to get quotes on a smaller size car. 10) Moving of Storage Building~ Case of Arnold Cox Building Official Berg said the City is running business through a lot of red tape for temporary buildings and additions. Councilman Cox said he would prefer to have it outside of the fence and then dress it up and put on a foundation in the event someone would want to rent it. If this wasn't accepted, he would put it in the back for storage. Motion by Councilman Sorteberg and seconded by Councilman Reimann to approve the building permit application for a storage building Mr, Cox wishes to place on his property located on Sunfish Lake Blvd. and that.the requirements of the proposed site and design plan ordinance be waived in view of the improve- ment Mr. Cox has continued making at his place of business and that the in- spection fee be waived as it will not be necessary to inspect the structure, Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson and Reimann. Voting no-None. Councilman Cox Abstained. ll) Regular Council Meeting Scheduled for November 11, 1980 Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Reimann to set the date for the first regular council meeting in November for November 10, 1980 instead of November 11, 1980, which is Veteran's Day.
