I
I

I
,I
I
!
I

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

?qr. Joe Sentryz - 6726 137th Avenue N.W. - Submitted a petition to the Commission
o]>ject.ing to the proposed rezoning of Lot 4, Block 3 in Riverside West. 5]]e
petition was signed by all the homeowners in the area, except one who could
~ot be reached. Mr. Sentryz noted that some of the homeowners in the area were
)~ot notified of the public hearing.

C?}w~irman Peterson read the contents of the petition to the Co,remission snd
a~ldie~lce. Basically, the petition brought up the following points:

1. A buffer zone between residential and commerical must be maintained
to protect property value.

2. There are plenty of unsold and unbuilt commercial lots available,
that there is no need for anymore at this time.

C]~airman Peterson noted that only those persons located within 350' of the
parcel in question are notified of the public hearing.

Mr. Sentryz replied that the property owner across the stree from the parcel
in question did not receive notice of public hearing.

Mr. Clayton Berg replied that the City gets it's distribution list from the
tax records and if the tax records are not up to date, neither is the City.

Mr. Bullick replied that certain persons who purchased property from him,
chose not to have the records at the County Courthouse recorded so, therefore,
any mailings pertaining to these certain lots are still delivered to
Mr. Bullick.

Ivars Wagner - Mr. Bullick himself stated earlier that potential besidential
and busines property purchasers are reluctant to locate adjacent to each
other. That is my objection. If you approve this rezoning and I try to
sell my residential property, it will be difficult because of the adjacent
business property.

The public hearing adjourned at 7:42 P.M.

Respectfully submitted,

Sylvia Frolik
Council Secretary

Lloyd G. Schnelle
City Administrator

P & Z/October 5, 1982
Public Hearing
Page 2
