City Ordinance requires a public hearing be held on this <br />matter. Accordingly, the following information is hereby submitted as <br />enclosure (D2-a) for your consideration: <br /> <br />a) Applicant's application <br />b) Applicant's undated letter of application <br />c) Applicant's letter of September 30, 1982 <br />d) Public hearing notice <br />e) List of adjoining properties notified <br />f) Area location map <br />g) Structure floor plans <br />h) Building Official's review dated October 13, 1982 <br /> <br />The conceptual drawing, site plan and topography are attached as Exhibit 1. <br /> <br />Your action in this matter will be to make a recommendation to approve/ <br />disapprove the request. Findings of fact would be appropriate for either <br />decision. Your action should also consider those areas where variances <br />will either have to be granted or denied. <br /> <br />CASE OF CROSS OF HOPE LUTHERAN CHURCH; REQUEST.FOR A' CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT: <br /> <br />Cross of Hope Lutheran Church is requesting a conditional use permit to <br />construct a church on a ten acre parcel of R-l, Residential, property <br />located just east of Highway #47 on 179th Avenue NW. Churches are not a <br />permitted use in R-1 areas and therefore a conditional use permit is re- <br />quired. <br /> <br />In view of past problems we have experienced with churches in residential <br />areas, it is essential that your recommendation include findings of fact. <br />Further, should your recommendation be to approve the request, then additional <br />right-of-way for a future service road along 179th Avenue NW should be re- <br />quired. <br /> <br /> <br />
