I <br /> <br /> I <br /> ! <br /> I <br /> i <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br />I <br />! <br />! <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A public hearing by the Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission was held on <br />March 1, 1983 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota, regarding Preliminary Plat request for Sorteberg's First <br />Addition. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Kenneth Peterson, Chairman <br />Mr. Arthur Dunn <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman <br />Mr. Benjamin Deemer <br />Mr. Robert Isakson <br />Ms. Kathy Schneider <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br /> <br />Also Present: .City Building Official Clayton Berg <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson called the Public Hearing to order at 7:34 P.M. <br /> <br />Mr. Sorteberg was present. <br /> <br />William Gachne - 7814 157th Avenue N.W. --Is 157th going to b~ blacktopped <br />and could it be designated an MSA street? <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson - Council would have to call a public regarding blacktopping. <br />Mr. Sorteberg would be responsible for only half of the street and 157th <br />would have to be a major thoroughfare to be considered an MSA street. <br />Tonight's public hearing is not to discuss whether or not 157th should be <br />blacktopped, but if the audience wishes, their comments regarding blacktopping <br />will be recorded in the minutes. <br /> <br />Mr. Eggers - 7930 15th Avenue N.W. - What will be done with the proposed <br />outlots and isn't minimum lot size now at 10 acres? <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson - Outlots cannot be built on at this time. <br /> <br />Mr. Dunn - Minimum lot size is 2% acres with a density of one house in 10 <br />acres. Blacktopping will be addressed as a separ~e issue. <br /> <br />Mr. Devens - 7746 157th Avenue - There is a discrepancy between the easement on <br />the north side of the s~reet and the south side of the street. <br /> <br />Mr. Sorteberg - The difference in easement is to allow for utility cable. <br /> <br />Mr. Clayton Berg - The street will be centered on the right-of-way. <br /> <br />Mr. Eggers - There is a problem in the area with drainage, there is no natural <br />drain, and this could be aggravated by blacktopping. <br /> <br />Mr. Zimmerman - Blacktopping would lead to the solving of drainage problems. <br /> <br />P & Z/March 1, 1983 <br /> Public Hearing <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
