PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Thursday, April 7, <br />1983 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Sue Van Wagner <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilmember Jeanne Schlueter <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Building Official Clayton Berg <br />City Attorney William Goodrich. <br />Reporter Carolyn Thompson <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the special meeting to order at 7:36 p.m. and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />B~enda Bauerkemper - 162nd Lane NW - Stated that this particular meeting was <br /> originally scheduled for April 5 and it was not noted in the Anoka Union, then <br /> it was postponed until April 7, shouldn't there be more notice to the public? <br /> <br />Mayor G~mec stated that he requested the meeting be held April 7 because he <br />was out of town on April 5 and this is not a regular Council meeting and no <br />major topics will be acted on. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle noted that there is only one major topic on tonight's agenda -- <br />labor negotiations. Major topics could be discussed at special Council <br />meetings, zoning and ordinances for example, but would be acted~upon at regular <br />Council meetings. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that he would like to discuss Acceptance of Park <br />Land from Federal Cartridge during Mayor/Council Input. He also stated that <br />he wants to discuss Barthel's Rum River Site during Mayor/Council Input. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />approve the agenda. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner.
