In the past, P&Z's advice as been sought out and I don't
think the problem is that P&Z is incompetent.

Commissioner Dunn stated that in regards to the hazardous waste, Site P and
the Comprehensive Plan, decisions have been made and there is no use going
back and studying the issues to death, but in the future, issues of that
- potential magnitude, P&Z should have some input.

Commissioner Zimmerman noted that the deeds to Federal Cartridge Land will
be turned over to the City on April 9, 1983 and inquired as to what time
the ceremony will take place.

Mr. Berg replied that no time had been set as of yet.

Chairman Peterson inquired if members of Park Commission had been invited
to the ceremony.

COmmissioner Deemer stated that regarding sewer and water, maybe special
levy districts could be created along with. sewer and water.districts to
cover any added cost burden.

Commissioner Dunn replied that it has'been stated that no one will have to
pay for sewer and water unless they directly benefit. He further stated
that this fact is not included in the prop6sed ordinance. He further
stated that any comments in this area should be brought up at the April 19,
1983 informational meeting or the April 26, 1983 Council meeting.

Susan Beale - Inquired ~f the sewer and water ordinance was ever. passed by
P&Z before it was submitted to Council on February 8, 1983.

Commissioner Dunn replied that it was not, but two members of P&Z served
on the Ad Hoc Committee.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Commissioner Isakson and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to adjourn
the regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Motion carried.
