Chairman Peterson polled the Commission regarding how many lots they feel <br />Mr. Martin should be entitled to develop from that particular tract of land. <br /> <br /> Commissioner LaDue - two lots <br /> Commissioner Isakson - two lots <br /> Commissioner Deemer - Stated that Mr. Martin has a case for more than one <br /> lot and in the not too far future sewer my be available to this <br /> property and we might be looking at 240' frontage lots. <br /> Commissioner Zimmerman - two lots. P&Z should be looking at the entire <br /> ordinance as it relates to the entire property. <br /> Commissioner Kennen - two lots <br /> Chairman Peterson - agreed with Commissioner Schneider's earlier comments <br /> regarding this issue. ~ <br /> <br />The majority consensus of the Planning and Zoning Commission is that two lots <br />would be appropriate at the time the property is platted. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer inquired if the wording on Page 2 of the ordinance should <br />be clean cutting or clear cutting. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg~replied that it was a typographical error and it should be clear <br />cutting and also noted that a variance procedure will be added to the ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Zimmerman and seconded by commissioner Deemer to <br />table recommending approval of this ordinance until the next regular meeting <br />of P&Z for the purpose of further review. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Kennen, Deemer, <br />Zimmerman, Isakson, LaDue and Schneider. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #4: Amending Of Chapter 110.14 'Entitled "Weeds" Of th~ ~ity Code: <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson stated that Council has requested P&Z to review and make <br />recommendations regarding Chapter 110.14 entitled "Weeds". Chairman Peterson <br />stated that one section of the chapter, 110.143 - Growing Grass, is causing <br />problems. If a citizen does not comply with this code, notices are sent to <br />that citizen that he is in violation of having grass taller than 12" and that <br />he has 10 days to correct'the situation. If the citizen takes no action, the <br />City dan contract a weed cutter to cut it and the cost would be assessed to <br />the property owner. <br /> <br />Mrs. Steiner - 6121 158th Lane - Own a vacant lot adjacent to our home on <br />which there are trees, sumac and wildflowers and have been requested by <br />neighbors not to clear this lot because it is a beautiful piece of untouched <br />nature and a relief from the monotony of manicured lawns. <br /> <br />Terry Pettro - 6140 157th - Stated that he received a letter from the City <br />that he is in violation and to clear cut the property. Have Surveyed homes <br />of Council persons and they are all in violation and have surveyed a couple <br />of home o.f P&Z commission members and they too are in violation. Stated that <br />he has planted 1500-2000 seedlings on his property and it would~e difficult <br />to cut the tall grass, etc. without killing all the seedlings.
