AMEN~{NT TO CITY ORDINANCE 'TO CHANGE 'INDUSTRIAL 'LOT SIZES AND 'COHV~RCIAL <br />LOT SIZES TO ONE ACRE MINIMUM <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to instruct <br />the staff to prepare an ordinance to adopt the lot size of one acre minimum <br />in the con~nercial and industrial zoned areas of the City. <br /> <br />MotJ on carried. <br />and Sorteberg. <br /> <br />Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann <br />Voting no: None. <br /> <br />APPOINIMENT OF MEMBER TO PLANNING & ZONING COPNISSION <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to a~cept the <br />resignation of John Hubbard and appoint Mr. Harry Ellis to the Planning <br />Conunission for a term of four years to expire December 31, 1984. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Discussion held regarding reducing home sizes and eliminating garage require- <br />ments and whether or not to do this to encourage and.promote building of <br />homes. <br /> <br />It was the consensus that the Council is in favor of approving of Industrial <br />Revenue bonds for the building of Industrial develoPments but not for residential <br />homes at this time. They feel industry should be established first, to employ <br />the people in this area, and then the residential areas could be expanded afterwards. <br /> <br />f]tRNGING CITY ACCOUNTING TO COMPUTER <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Cox to authorize <br />the City to put all of the accounting on computer at the City of Anoka for <br />a cost of $210 per month beginning April 1, 1980. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, leimann <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by CounCilman Sorteberg to install a <br />sign at least 3' X 6' to advertise the fact there is a sliding hill at the <br />landfill and to waive the fee for the sign. <br /> <br />Motion carried.. Vo~'ing yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimar~n <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to contact Mr. <br />Larson of the Department of Transportation to review the Peltzer and Shenk <br />property/ for the possibility of locating an airport in these areas or some <br />other open space area within the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
