Councilman Sorteberg sited that the Council is concerned about the neighbors <br />and t]~eir co~o]aints. <br /> <br />Attorney C~odrich added that it is the "use" more than the building that is <br />the problem in this situation. <br /> <br />Mayor C~mec said it is like a commercial use is a residential use area. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said that he would take all precautions necessary to see that <br />the 'residential character of residential neighborhoods is preserved. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said the City has problems with the large lot sizes, this is <br />hard to control since most people think they have 20 acres. <br /> <br />LICENSE Pfi>PROVAL REQUEST FOR CASE OF M & L LIQUORS <br /> <br />Motion by Cm~cilman Cox and seconded by Councilaan Mickelson to issue an <br />off-sale intoxicating liquor license to }4 & L Liquors and to pro-rate the <br />fee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to approve the <br />cigarette license for 1980 for M & L Liquors. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to amend the <br />ordinance to permit liquor store to be open on Friday and Saturday night <br />until 10:00 P.M., if the State Law permits, so that M & L Liquors may be <br />competitive with the surrounding communities liquor store operations. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
