Commissioner Bendtsen expressed concerns over the use of TIF. <br /> Community Development Director Gladhill clarified that only increment was captured in the <br /> district; existing tax revenue is still distributed. <br /> Commissioner Zaetsch recommended the City of Rogers as an example. <br /> Chairperson Field noted that residents may be invited to this presentation. He also mentioned the <br /> lack of training and education for the role of a Commissioner. <br /> Consensus of the Commission was to schedule a meeting at the end of October. <br /> Commissioner Sivertson suggested submitting questions ahead of the presentation. <br /> Mr. Gladhill suggested focusing on educational items, but not the 2/3 provision without a more <br /> comprehensive amendment on authorities. <br /> Discussion ensued about the powers and education for the Charter Commission. <br /> Commissioner Sivertson suggested training on Roberts Rules of Order. <br /> Chairperson Field stated the Commission could recommend requirement for Robert's Rules <br /> training. He also suggested protocol for adding items on the agenda. <br /> 7. ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Commissioner Deemer, seconded by Commissioner Zaetsch, to adjourn the meeting. <br /> Motion carried.
