CITY OF RANSEY <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />FINDINGS OF FACT re Mark Cory <br /> <br />BOARDOF ADJUSTmeNT VARIANCE <br /> <br />l) That the applicant has properly applied for a Board of Adjustment <br />variance for an accessory building. <br /> <br />2) That the applicant appeared before the Board of Adjustment for a <br />public hearing on March 25, 1980. Said public hearing was properly ad- <br />vertized and the minutes of that public hearing are hereby incorporated <br />as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />3) That the standards for consideration are as follows: <br /> <br />a) The property is zoned R-1 and this is a permitted'use except City <br />Ordinance restricts the structure size. <br /> <br />b) The adjoining properties are residential dwellings located on one <br />acre parcels. <br /> <br />c) There are several other similar uses in the area. (Accessory <br />Buildings) <br /> <br />d) There will be no change in traffic flow to the area. <br /> <br />e) The other similar uses, to our knowledge, have not caused neighbor~ <br />hood problems. <br /> <br />f) Properly maintained for personal use the accessory building will <br />not affect the life style of the neighboring residents in a rural <br />setting. Further, it should not affect the enjoyment of or values of <br />properties in the vicinity. <br /> <br />4) That the criteria for approval/disapproval are as follows: <br /> <br />a) The applicants request is to construct an 2,120 square foot garage <br />as he presently does not have one. City Ordinance would allow the con-- <br />struction of accessory buildings (attached/detached) totalling 1,488 <br />square feet. Properly maintained this accessory building should not be <br />detrimental to or endanger the public health, safety, or general welfare <br />and is not contrary to established standards as regulated by City Code, <br /> <br />b) The applicants proposed aecessory buildinglocation has been reviewed <br />by the Building Official and his report dated March ll, 1980, is hereby <br />incorporated as a part of these findings by reference hereof. <br /> <br /> <br />
