CITY 0FRAMSEY <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FINDINGS OF FACT re Walter Owens <br /> <br /> BOARD OF.ADJUSTMENT VARIANCE <br /> <br />1) That the applicant has properly applied for a Board of Adjustment <br />variance to construct an accessory building which combined with existing <br />accessory buildings will exceed the area limitations as specified by <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />2) That the applicant appeared before the Board of Adjustment for a public <br />hearing ohM arch 25, 1980. Said publi6 hearing was properly advertised <br />and the minutes of that public hearing are hereby incorporated as a part <br />of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />3) The standards for consideration are as follows: <br /> <br />a) The property is zoned R-1 and accessory buildings are a permitted <br />use except that the allowable areas are restricted by City Ordinance, <br /> <br />b) The adjoining properties are residential dwellings located on 2.5 <br />to 5+ acre parcels. <br /> <br />c) There are several other similar uses in the area, (Accessory <br />Buildings) <br /> <br />d) There will be no change in traffic flows to the area. <br /> <br />e) The other similar uses, to our knowledge, have not caused neighbor- <br />hood problems. <br /> <br />f) Properly maintained for storage, the accessory building will not <br />affect the life style of the neighboring residents in a rural setting. <br />Further, it should not affect the enjoyment or values of the properties <br />in the vicinity. <br /> <br />4) That the criteria for approval/disapproval are as follows; <br /> <br />a) The applicants request is to construct a 1200 square foot accessory <br />building. City Ordinance would allow the construction of 2,064 square <br />feet of accessory buildings (attached/detached). The applicant presently <br />has accessory buildings of 2,284 square feet which include an attached <br />residential garage and an 1,800 square foot accessory building. Properly <br />maintained this accessory building should not be detrimental to or en- <br />danger the public health safety and welfare. <br /> <br /> <br />
