<br />At the CAB Con~ittee meeting on March 24, we discussed a proposed
<br />amendment to the 208 Water Quality Plan to initiate preparation
<br />of pJ. ans and specifications for the CAB fnterceptor in Champlin
<br />and Brooklyn Park. The following indicates the procedural and
<br />content requirements involved with a policy plan amendment.
<br />
<br />An amendment to the z~.cJoi_:ted Policy P~sn may
<br />be initia~ed hy a resolution of the Council or
<br />the Commission for amendment cons:deration.
<br />The resolution, snail be accompaniec ~y a
<br />desex,piton of the proposed amendment and
<br />the basis therefore. To the extent practicable,
<br />the Council ar, a Commission shall initiate
<br />arnendn~ent consideration no more than once
<br />a year. Affected local gowrnment un:.s may
<br />petition the Council or the Commission at any
<br />time to consider the adopt:on of an amend-
<br />ment resolution.
