Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION#16-11-211 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br /> TO NORTHSTAR MARKETPLACE STATION LLC BASED ON FINDINGS OF FACT <br /> #0971 TO EXCEED SIGN REGULATIONS ESTABLISHED IN CITY CODE AND <br /> DECLARING TERMS OF THE PERMIT. <br /> WHEREAS,Quality Sign Solutions, on behalf of Northstar Marketplace Station LLC, has <br /> properly applied for a conditional use permit to exceed sign size and height restrictions as <br /> established in City Code on the property generally known as 7900 Sunwood Drive NW and legally <br /> described as follows: <br /> Lot 1, Block 1, COR Two Northstar, Anoka County,Minnesota <br /> ("Subject Property") <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission met on November 3, 2016, conducted a public <br /> hearing, and recommended City Council approve/deny the request. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY,ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1. Based on Findings of Fact#0971,a conditional use permit("Permit")to exceed allotted square <br /> footage and height is hereby granted to Northstar Marketplace Station LLC ("Permittee"). <br /> 2. That this Permit supersedes the previously approved Conditional Use Permit(Resolution#08- <br /> 10-203) for the Subject Property. <br /> 3. The Permittee is herein granted permission to replace the existing ground sign at the southwest <br /> corner of the Subject Property with one (1) new permanent pylon sign (the "Sign") in the <br /> same general location on the Subject Property. <br /> 4. That the Permittee may still maintain the existing ground sign along Zeolite Street in addition <br /> to the Sign. <br /> 5. The Sign erected on the Subject Property shall not exceed 334 square feet in size per face, <br /> nor an aggregate gross surface area of 668 square feet. <br /> 6. The Sign erected on the Subject Property shall not exceed a height of seventy-five(75) feet. <br /> 7. The Permittee shall ensure that the electronic message center portion of the Sign is operated <br /> in compliance with City Code Section 117-463(f). <br /> 8. The installation of the Sign on the Subject Property requires a Sign Permit from the City of <br /> Ramsey (the "City") and the application submittal for said Sign Permit shall include footings <br /> sized and approved by a licensed engineer. <br />
