October 26, 2016
Mr. Tim Gladhill
Community Development Director
City of Ramsey
7550 Sunwood Dr NW
Ramsey MN 55303
REF: Sketch Plan C2.1 (NE Corner of Ramsey Blvd & Bunker Lake Blvd
Intersection)
Mr. Gladhill:
Thank you for returning my call regarding the above mentioned property.
Listed are my concerns / questions (some of which you have already answered)
for the property mentioned.
1 ) Photo of proposed building.
a. Entrance to building to be off of Ramsey Blvd?
b. In the picture it looks like there are two large loading dock doors.
Does this mean that large semi-trucks will be using this facility?
c. Does the "glass" area represent an office area?
2) Three-story storage buildings
a. It now shows two buildings, three levels high. To me this now means
we have gone from low-profile, one story buildings, to high-profile,
three story buildings.
b. How many storage units would be within each building?
c. Is the access to these units only from the inside of the building, or will
there be some outside access?
d. If the number of storage units triples from the prior plan, then we
would have possibly, triple the amount of traffic (vehicles and
people) coming through there.
e. Will there be air-conditioning units on top of these buildings (noise
factor).
f. Will there be a fence / barrier of some sort around the storage area
facilities?
g. Will there be controlled access (gate) to this area?
h. Will it have 24-hour access, or specific shorter hours?
i. Will there be security cameras, guard on-site?
j. What kind of lighting will be used?
k. Will roadways be gravel or paved?
