PUBLIC HEARING
City of Ramsey
Anoka County
State of Minnesota

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Ramsey City Council held
a public hearing regarding the improvement of the streets in Unplatted
Hagen's Addition which is specifically located in the Northwest Quarter
and the North one-half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 6, Township
32, Range 25, on April 8, 1980, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153
Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303.

Members Present:

Mayor Gamec
Councilman Cox
Councilman Reimann
Councilman Sorteberg

Members Absent: Councilman Mickelson

Also Present:

City Engineer Raatikka
City Attorney Goodrich

The meeting was called to order at 7:25 P.M. by Mayor Gamec who led in
the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Mayor Gamec announced the purpose Of the meeting.

City Engineer Raatikka reviewed the projects feasibility report and the
estimated costs.

~ayor Gamec outlined the procedure and announced that water and sewer
are not foreseeable in the future and therefore, it is important to keep
sewer systems in good order and that blacktopping put in now will not
be torn up right away for sewer and water.

He also stated that a performance bond is posted for one year to insure
that the streets are constructed properly.

Gene Davis, 9321 - 176th Avenue N.W. asked why all the streets in the
area are not being proposed for the project, who is responsible for main-
raining the streets, why width proposed is only 24', and why are per
~nits higher for this area than for Halland Acres?

Mayor Gamec said this was the section which was petitioned for and as a
ruble, no streets are proposed for blacktop on which a petition has not
been presented.

Mr. Davis also asked regarding the lot on the corner of 176th and Driscoll
and whether or not it will be assessed again when Driscoll is blacktopped.

The response was that it probably will not be assessed again as corner
lots get only one assessment. This matter should be brought up at the
assessment hearing.

PUBLIC HEARING
UNPLATTEDHAGEN'S ADDITION
April 8, 1980
Page 1
