09/22/16 REVISOR CKM/IL AR4240 <br />8.1 includes all mine pits, quarries, stockpiles, basins, processing structures and equipment, <br />8.2 and any structures that drain or divert public waters to allow mining. <br />8.3 Subp. 44. Off -premise advertising signs. "Off -premise advertising signs" means <br />8.4 those signs that direct attention to a product, service, business, or entertainment venue that <br />8.5 is not exclusively related to the premises where the sign is located. <br />8.6 Subp. 45. Ordinary high water level. "Ordinary high water level" has the meaning <br />8.7 given under Minnesota Statutes, section 103G.005. <br />8.8 Subp. 46. Overlay district. "Overlay district" means a zoning district that is applied <br />8.9 over one or more previously established zoning districts, establishing additional or stricter <br />8.10 standards and criteria for covered properties in addition to those of the underlying zoning <br />8.11 district. Overlay districts are often used to protect historic features and natural resources <br />8.12 such as shoreland or floodplain. <br />8.13 Subp. 47. Parcel. "Parcel" has the meaning given under Minnesota Statutes, section <br />8.14 116G.03. <br />8.15 Subp. 48. Patio. "Patio" means a constructed hard surface located at ground level <br />8.16 with no railings and open to the sky. <br />8.17 Subp. 49. Picnic shelter. "Picnic shelter" is a roofed structure open on all sides, <br />8.18 accessory to a recreational use. <br />8.19 Subp. 50. Planned unit development. "Planned unit development" means a method <br />8.20 of land development that merges zoning and subdivision controls, allowing developers <br />8.21 to plan and develop a large area as a single entity, characterized by a unified site design, <br />8.22 a mix of structure types and land uses, and phasing of development over a number of <br />8.23 years. Planned unit development includes any conversion of existing structures and land <br />8.24 uses that use this method of development. <br />6106.0050 8 <br />
