Draft Land Use/District Map <br />2. Final DRAFT Vision Statement <br />Staff has also scheduled a Work Session at 5:30 preceding the Regular Meeting on March 2 to focus on The COR <br />Development Plan and complete the following objectives: <br />1. Land Use/District Descriptions <br />2. Recommendations on Key Development and Design Standards (Mixed Use Definition, Retail Vision, Appropriate <br />Densities, Open Space Requirements, etc.). <br />INTERIM ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGES TO THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT APPROVED <br />In an effort to provide better support to the Planning Commission, Staff, and Special Policy Projects, the City Council <br />approved an interim organizational structure change to the Community Development Department. City Planner Chris <br />Anderson has been delegated leadership for the Planning Division Staff (Community Development Assistant, Seasonal <br />Intern, Consulting City Planner). Building Official Rick Jarson has been delegated leadership to the Building Division <br />(Building Permits; Building Inspection Technician, Permit Technician, Consulting Inspectors). Both will report to <br />Community Development Director Tim Gladhill. The Community Development Director will remain as primary liaison to <br />the Planning Commission. Click this link for more detailed information. <br />RESLIENT COMMUNITIES PROJECT APPLICATION <br />The City Council has directed Staff to prepare an Application to the University of Minnesota's Resilient Communities <br />Project. This is an opportunity for the City to partner with the University on existing Strategic Plan, Comprehensive Plan, <br />and Work Plan priorities. This will provide supplemental Staff support and innovative approaches. Ramsey was one of <br />two communities selected to proceed past the first round. The hope is that this program will help the City on several <br />planned initiatives across the spectrum of the organization. As it relates to the Planning Commission, this program could <br />aide in completion of work plan items such as the Comprehensive Plan Update, The COR Development Plan Update, <br />Business Incubator Policy, etc. Click this link for more detailed information. <br />Please let me know if you have any questions on any of the updates above.
