Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #17-02-040 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A COMPRHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT, CONTINGENT <br />UPON METROPOLITAN COUNCIL APPROVAL, TO CHANGE A LAND USE <br />DESIGNATION ON THE SUBJECT PROPERTY TO MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL <br />AND BUSINESS PARK <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey (the "City") has initiated an amendment to the Comprehensive <br />Plan to change the future land use designation from 1) High Density Residential to Medium Density <br />Residential; and 2) Public -Quasi Public and Commercial to Business Park for the following legally <br />described property: <br />and <br />Lot 1, Block 1 Alpha Development, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />- and- <br />That part of Outlot B, Alpha Development lying within Northeast Quarter of Northeast Quarter <br />of Section 29, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />-and- <br />That part of Outlot B, Alpha Development lying within Northwest Quarter of Northeast Quarter <br />of Section 29, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />-and- <br />Lot 1, Block 1, Pine Shadows, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />- and- <br />The Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 20, Township 32, Range 25, lying <br />west of east 40 feet thereof, except road subject of easement of record, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br />- and- <br />That part of Northwest Quarter of Northwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 32, Range 25 <br />lying northeasterly of northeasterly right of way line of Burlington Northern rail Road and lying <br />westerly and southerly of the north 60 feet of east 40 feet of said Quarter Quarter, except road <br />subject to easement of record, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br />(the "Subject Property") <br />WHEREAS, the City has been approached by Capstone Homes on a residential concept plan; <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to amend a portion of the Subject Property to facilitate the future <br />development of a business park in order to retain and expand businesses and expand the City's tax <br />base; and <br />
