ADDENDUM TO COUNCIL NEW BUSINESS

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE REQUEST FOR CHANGE IN CITY

CODE:

Please refer t© enclosure (D3-1) letter dated May 6, 1980,
from Housing Sub Committee of the Council Economic Develop-
ment Commission regarding house size and the elimination of
garages.

Enclosure (D3-m) excerpt from City Ordinance need the City
Attorney's clarification but I would say there are no con-
trols on house size in the Transitional and Rural Areas
only in the Urban Area.

CASE #19: RAMSEY LANDFILL REPORTS

Enclosure (D3-n) contains Ramsey Landfill Inspection reports
4/14/80 and 4/24/80 and Serco Labs Report on wells and
lysematers 6 and 7. Cotmcil should note this in the~minutes
the report was received.

CASE #20:

COUNCIL POLICY TO BE ESTABLISHED WITH CITY OF ELK RIVER RE-

GARDING DU~[PING OF SEWAGE WASTE:

Please refer to enclosure (DJ-o) which is a police complaint
which was received by our department because a citizen in
Elk River put sewage from the Pigs Eye Plant on his field
and failed to cover it. Consequently, the odor wiped out
Ramsey citizens.

Council may want to meet with Elk River Council and work out
a policy on this matter so that it doesn't happen in the
future. It also contsm~uates water supply in this area.
