PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY 0FRAMSEY ANOKACOUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Nay 13, 1980, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 Members Present: Mayor Gamec Councilman Sorteberg Councilman Reimann Councilman Cox Members Absent: Councilman Mickelson Also Present: City Engineer Raatikka City AttorneyGoodrich City Administrator Scknelle Building Official Berg Street Superintendent Mevissen Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 7:34 p.m. and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to contract with ~s. Lattery to take the City Council Meeting Minutes and the Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting Minutes, that she be paid $45.00 for each meeting. (This does not include Public Hearings or Board of Adjustment Hearings held on the same night as the regular meeting.) This will include the recording of the minutes and the typing of the minutes for the minute book. The contracting of this service is to be effective as of May 5, 1980. Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann and Cox. Voting no-None. The meeting recessed at 7:45 p.m. for the scheduled public hearings. The meeting was called to order again at 9:00 p.m. CITIZENS INPUT ~. Neil Bonnet, who wants to locate hi~ auto salvage business on 140th Avenue N.W. and Sunfish Lake Blvd., was present to discuss the matter with the Council and to get the feeling of the Council before he pursues the avenue of trying to get a conditional use permit. Mayor Gamec said that after reviewing other cases of this kind, his vote would be negative. He said it would take a lot to convince him that this business operation would be adequately screened off. Councilman Sorteberg said that he agreed with the Mayor and didn't look for a positive answer for a conditional use permit. C~ay 13, 1980 Page 1
