Cor.~,is~ioner 1,ic] adol~tton~ ~ intr{,d,cc'd' the [ollowlng resOtion and moved its RESOLUTION NO.80-].4 JOINT RESOI,UTION IN SUPPORT OF TUE PROPOSED CABLE SERVICE TERRITORY (CST) kqllCH WILL ENCObi- PASS TIlE C1TIES OF CtlA2~PLIN, ANOKA AND R/a~SEY. k~IEREAS, a Cable Co,mmnlcations Cempany has submitted an applicat'ion to the Minnesota Cable ConununicatJons Bc.ard (MCCB) for establishment of a CST which will encompass the el'ties of Champlin. Anoka and Ramsey; and k~IEREAS, the City Councils of Champlin. Anoka and Ram:~ey discussed the proposed CST at a Joint meeting on Fc:bruary 22. 1980; and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council h~s received for review the CST Proposal (No. 7936-1) and it is appropriate to respond to the proposal by the City Coun- cils jointly; and WqIEREAS, the .three City councils are of the OPinion that C~'ampltn, Anoka and Ramsey should work together on cable communications. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the ChamplJn City Council and the Anoka City Co~atssion and the Ramsey City Council, that the proposed CST nnder review by the Metropolitan Council (No. 7936-1) as submitted by Harmon and Company, Inc. Js acceptable to the cities of Champlin, Anoka and Ramsey. FURTIIER BE IT RESOLVED, by the Champlin City Council, the Anoka City Com- mission, a'nd the Ramsey City Council, that the corem]unities are committed to working together on cable cou~nunications and are of the opinion that a Joint Citizen's Advisory Committee is an acceptable way to meet the MCCB requirement of citizen participation. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner llalsey and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Commissioners M~lrosc, Halsey, Sell, Mann and Mayor Blomquist. and the followJ.z~g voted agair~st the same: None. ~J]~.reupon said resolution was adopted on the 3rd day of M.arch, 1980.
