Councilman Rei=,ann introduced the followir~ , olutton and <br />moved for i~s adoption: l.'i... ~ 1~0 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION 80-20 STATE OF '. <br /> <br />JOINT RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE PROPOSED CABLE SERVICE TERRITORY <br />(CST) WH1CH WILL ENCOMP;~S,S THE CITIES OF CHA~[PLIN, ANOKA AND RAMSEY. <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, a Cable Communications Company has submitted an <br />application to the Minnesota Cable Communications Board (MCCB) for <br />establishment of a CST which will encompass the Cities of Ramsey, Anoka' <br />and Champlin; and <br /> <br /> ~qtEREAS, the City Councils of Ramsey, Anoka and Champtin <br />discussed the proposed CST at a joint meeting on February 22, 1980; <br />and <br /> <br /> t'~ERE~$, the Metropolitan ~ouncil has received for review <br />the CST Proposal (No. 7936-1) and it is appropriate to respond to the <br />proposal by the City Councils Jointly; and ' : <br /> <br /> WKERE~S, the three City Councils are of the opinion that <br />Ra~.~ey, Champlin and Anoka should work together on cable communications. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CO~CIL OF THE CITY OF RA~EY, <br />MINNESOTA as follows: <br /> <br />-- That the Ramsey City Council, the Anoka City Commission <br /> and the Chmmplin City Council find that the proposed CST <br /> under review by the Metropolitan Council (No. 79~6-1) as <br /> submitted by Harmon and Company, Inc., is acceptable to <br /> the cities of Ramsey, Champlin and Anoka. <br /> <br />FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY.COUNCIL OF TH~ CITY OF P~IISEY that <br />the communities are committed to working together on cable communications <br />and are of the opinion that a Joint Citizen's Advisory Committee is an <br />acceptable way to meet the MCCB requirements of citizen participation. <br /> <br />The motion for the sdoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilm~n Sorteberg smd upon vote being taken the'teen, the following <br />voted Lu favor thereof: <br /> Mayor Gsmec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, Mickelson and <br /> Cox <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the <br />R~ey City Council this the 22nd day of April, 1980. <br /> <br />A~strator/Clerk <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
