~ounc]lmember Baldwintntroduced the following resolution and moved <br />Its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 80-68 <br /> <br />JOINT RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE PROPOSED <br />CABLE SERVICE TERRITORY (CST) WHICH WILL ENCOM- <br />PASS THE CITIES OF CHAMPLIN, ANOKA AND RAMSEY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a Cable Co~r~unications Company has submitted an <br />application to the Minnesota Cable Co~munfcatlons Board (MCCB) for <br />establishment of a CST which willoencompass the cities of Champltn, <br />Anoka and Ramsey, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Councils of Champlln, Anoka and Ramsey <br />discussed the proposed CST at a Joint meetlng on February 22~ 1980, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has received for review <br />the CST Proposal (No. 7936-1) and.it is appropriate to respond to <br />th~ proposal by the City Councils jointly, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the three City Councils are of the opinion that <br />Champlln, Anoka and Ramsey should work together on cable communications. <br /> <br /> NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Champlin City Council, <br />the Anoka City Commission and the Ramsey City Council that the proposed <br />CST under review by the Metropolitan Council (No. 7936-1) as submitted <br />by Harmon and Company, Inc., is acceptable to the cities of Champlln, <br />Anoka and Ramsey. <br /> <br /> FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, by the Champlin City Council, the <br />Anoka City Commission and the Ramsey City Council that the communities <br />are committed to working together on cable communications and are of <br />the opinion that a joint Citizen's Advisory Committee is an acceptable <br />wey to meet the MCCB requirement of citizen participation. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilmember Johnson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted tn favor thereof: Mayor Nunn, Councilmembers Baldwin, Johnson <br />and Winch and the following voted against the same: none, <br />whereupon said resolution was passed this llth day of March, 1980. <br /> <br />Josephine D.
