FINDINGS OF FACT <br /> <br />REGARDING DONALD AND MELISSA VOLNER'S REQUEST TO CONSTRUCT <br />h GREENHOUSE OF 624 SQUARE FEET IN A RESIDENTIALLY ZONED <br />NEIGHBORHOOD AT 8121 154TH AVENUE N.W., IN THE CITY OF RAMSEY. <br /> <br />The following finding of fact is hereby written concerning the above request: <br />1. A greenhouse of 624 square feet is considered to be too. large to be <br />used solely for a hobby. This size of greenhouse is considered to consti- <br />tute what would be characteristic of a commercial-type use rather than <br />a hobby use. <br /> <br />2. This business may be competing with commercial businesses, and <br />commercial establishments in commercial areas, pay taxes as such. <br /> <br />3. The City Council is willing to consider allowing the Volner's to construct <br />a greenhouse if it does not exceed 10' X 12'. <br /> <br />3. Letters were received from neighbors in the area which express their <br />objection to a large structure in their area. <br /> <br />a. That the nature of the construction of a 624 square foot greenhouse would <br /> <br />not asthetically fit into the residential character of the neighborhood. <br /> <br />S. It is the intent of the City Council to preserve the residential character <br />of the neighborhoods and to take whatever means possible to try to prevent <br />the possibility of creating a use that may substantially diminish or impair <br /> <br /> <br />
