PUBLIC HEARING <br /> City of Ramsey <br /> Anoka County <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Ramsey City Council held a public <br />hearing regarding the Street Improvement of Hagen's Unplatted Addition on <br />May 19, 1980, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Cox <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilman Mickelson <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 7:34 p.m. and led in the Pledge <br />of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Blacktopping of Ermine Blvd. N.W., Halas & Easton Streets N.W., and t76th & <br /> <br />180th Avenues N.W. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said that after reviewing the petition for the project and finding <br />some names outside the area, the Council decided to have another hearing on <br />this project. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said that City Engineer Raatikka would review the cost of the <br />project, the type of road to be put in, lot splits and the number of <br />assessments for each lot. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said the prices are the same as previously discussed <br />at the last hearing on the project. He then showed an exhibit of the streets <br />to be improved. <br /> <br />He said the estimated costs totalling $135,950 have remained the same. <br />He said it is proposed to assess the project on a unit basis, which will be <br />$2,343.91 per unit for 10 years or $381.48 per unit annually. <br /> <br />The exhibit showed units that are proposed to be assessed. He said none <br />of the lots are eligible for lot splits. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec asked for questions and connnents from the audience. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wallace Berg, 706 Benton St., Anoka, asked if it was still true <br />that if a person was not a resident but owned property in the area <br />that they had a right to vote. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said that a person who is not a resident would get one vote. <br /> <br />Ms. Carol Havrilla, 9421 - 180th Ave. N.W., asked if those in the area <br />actually have a vote because it appeared that their vote did not count at the <br />last meeting. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br />May 19, 1980 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
