City of Ramsey <br />15153 NOWTHEN BOULEVARD N.W., RAMSEY, MINNESOTA 55303 · {612) 427-1410 <br /> <br />May 30, 1980 <br /> <br />Mr. James Gflbertson <br />6131 West Highway #10 <br />Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 <br /> <br />RE: Ordinance Violation <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Gilbertson: <br /> <br />I~ has been brought to our attention that the sign which you have in- <br />stalled advertising Discount 10 Liquors is apprently in violation of <br />ordinance number 170.054 inasmuch as it appears to be over thirty-five <br />(35) feet in height above the adjoining lot grade. <br /> <br />Therefore, you shall, prior to J~ne 6, 1980, proceed with one of the <br />following options: <br /> <br /> 1) Reduce the sign height to that which is allowed by <br /> City ordinance. <br /> <br /> 2) Apply for a Board of Adjustment variance from the <br /> City ordinance.' <br /> <br />Failure to comply is a misdemeanor and subject to penalties thereof. <br /> <br />Please be advised that should you choose to proceed with option two <br />above, there are no guarantees that your variance request will be <br />granted and you may have to lower the sign anyway. <br /> <br />Should you have any questions regarding this matter, please feel free <br />to see us at our office or call us at 427-1410. <br /> <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br />cc: Mayor Gamec <br /> City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
