CASE <br /> <br /> REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />TO MAINTAIN A SECOND DWELLING ON A PARCEL <br />CASE OF HANNA SMITH <br /> By: Megan Wald, Community Development Assistant <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Hanna Smith has purchased the property located at 8201 163rd Ave., which currently has a main <br />dwelling and the potential for a second dwelling. Mrs. Smith is requesting a conditional use <br />permit to maintain two main dwellings on one parcel. Conditional use permits have <br />been issued in the past for more than one dwelling on a residential lot. The Delaney family <br />estate (Armstrong Kennels) has a conditional use permit for 4 dwellings. The Thomaswood <br />Estate (Tom Kurak homestead) was granted a conditional use permit for two dwellings in order <br />that the seller, Mr. Thom, could live on the property for the rest of his life. Don Kveton received <br />a Conditional Use Permit for two (2) dwellings on his property, his home and a dwelling for his <br />caretakers. <br /> <br />The previous application before the Planning Commission was for an Interim Use Permit that <br />established a time limit of five years to utilize the detached structure as a second dwelling unit. <br />After the established time limit, Loving Care Senior Services would have been required to <br /> <br /> <br />
