Bruce Jacobson Landscape Architect I have been in private practice for over 30 years. I have extensive planning and design experience ranging from urban parks, public spaces and private gardens to master planning for campuses, neighborhoods and mixed-use developments. My background is broad-based, grounded in the realities of policy, process and budget, and I continue to pursue design creativity and technical innovation as crucial benchmarks to address the `grand challenges' of our time (climate change, equity,health and other issues). I have successfully completed projects in a number of urban centers across the country including the Twin Cities, Denver and the Baltimore/Washington metro area. An inclusive and collaborative approach, including active public participation, is an essential part of the design process and has become a signature for my work. With overlapping interests in teaching, research and professional practice, I have also served as Adjunct Professor and Research Fellow, currently holding the position of Senior Research Fellow with the Metropolitan Design Center—University of Minnesota College of Design.
