He said all of the residents have septic tanks or drain fields. He asked <br />what happens when the ground water starts polluting. He asked if it would <br />possible to have sewer & water in ten years. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said the first area to have sewer g water will be down Highway 10. <br />He said the city is trying to protect the area from sewer & water right now, <br />but if there is a pollution problem, it will be out of the city's hands and <br />it will go to the State Health Department. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said as long as a property cannot be subdivided into two lots, <br />it will be assessed one assessment. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Cox to close the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />A vote was taken of the residents present. 39 residents voted. 30 voted for <br />and 9 voted against the project. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec asked all those residents in favor of blacktopping the service <br />road to stand and no one stood. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Mickelson and Cox.
