Mr. Carson said the house sizes needed to be reduced to bring them down to <br />a cost low enough. <br /> <br />Councilman Mickelson said he could see a rambler smaller than 960 sq. ft. <br />for someone who is going to build a two-bedroom rambler. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg suggested adding a smaller-type rambler with garage. <br /> <br />Ron West said the older clientele will buy the smaller-type rambler, <br />but not the first-home buyer. <br /> <br />Mr. Carson said they were going to start taking applications shortly. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to approve <br />changing the present house size requirements in Paragraph VIII of Section 170.015I <br />of the City Code to 960 sq. ft. for Ramblers, 912 sq. ft. for Splits and <br />720 sq. ft. for Two-Story Homes, all with no garages, and 768 sq. ft. for <br />a Rambler with a minimum of 440 sq. ft. garage. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Mickelson and Cox. Voting no-None. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted this will have to be published. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Sorteberg and seconded by Councilman Cox to adjourn <br />the special council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Mickelson and Cox.
