PLANNING g ZONING COMMISSION <br /> <br /> City of Ramsey <br /> Anoka County <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey Planning & Zoning Commission was held on <br />July 7, 1980 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Chairman Ken Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:50 p.m. with the <br />following in attendance: <br /> <br />Ken Peterson, Chairman <br />Benjamin Deemer <br />Art Dunn <br /> <br />Harry Ellis <br />Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br />Clayton Berg, Bldg. Official <br /> <br />Members Absent: Kathy Schneider <br /> Ron West <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />June 2, 1980, Regular P & Z Commission Meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Gerald Zimmerman and seconded by Benjamin Deemer to approve the <br />minutes as read. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />NOTE BOARDS AND COUNCIL <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson commented that he likes receiving copies of the council <br />meeting minutes, but not the Public Hearing Minutes on street improvements <br />or the Board of Review Minutes. <br /> <br />It was the general consensus of the commission to direct city staff to <br />eliminate Public Heaping Minutes, Board of Adjustment Minutes and Board of <br />Review Minutes f~om their agendas. <br /> <br />In reviewing the Park & Recreation CommissiQn Minutes, Ben Deemer stated <br />he felt the number of tennis courts is way out of line and the warming <br />house cost of $64,500 is extravagant. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson said he felt the listed cost of $64,500 for the warming <br />house must be a miss-print. <br /> <br />Building Official Bemg stated that w~rming houses have been running about <br />$50,000. <br /> <br />Ben Deemer questioned the cost of Earthwork at $75,000. He said he would <br />like a more detailed and itemized statement on the costs. <br /> <br />Chairman Petemson suggested appointing Ben Deemer as P g Z Commission liaison <br />to sit in on the Park & Recreation Commission Meetings. <br /> <br />P g Z Regular Meeting <br /> <br />Page 1 7/7/80 <br /> <br /> <br />
