Ben Deemer asked if the cost was just for the warming house or if it included concession stands, etc. C~airman Peterson appointed Ben Deemer to work with the Park & Recreation Commission on this matter. LETTERS AND COMMUNICATIONS Chairman Peterson read a letter received from Governor Quie which stated the Governor is scheduling a Community Development Forum to be held on July 23, 1980 at the Anoka Senior High School at 9:30 a.m. so local elected officials and citizens can participate in discussing community and economic development issues facing Minnesota citizens in the '80s. Chairman Peterson noted there is no charge if anyone wants to attend. PLANNING COMMISSION BUSINESS 1. Request for a Conditional Use Permit for a Rental Business for John J. Janson Chairman Peterson said the reason Mr. Janson is here is because a conditional use permit is required for this type of operation as it is not a permitted use in B-1 zoning. Art Dunn asked if this type of use is permitted in any area of the city. Building Official Berg said this type of operation is permitted in the industrial areas of the city. ARt Dunn asked Mr. Janson if he owned the property Mr~ Janson said he did not own the property, but it would be available for lease for three years and then he would have the option to buy it. He said he would be leasing about four acres of the total nine acres of the property. He said he was not currently in the rental business. Art Dunn expressed his concern about the exit and entrance onto Highway ~10. He said the problem is there is only one road in or out. He said in the future there will hopefully be a f~ontage road behind ~ho~e properties there. He asked Mr. Janson how soon he planned on going into the truck line busines. Mm. Janson said it could be in six months or up to two years. Ben Deemer asked what the little boxes on the map indicate. Mr. Janson said the smaller boxes indicate trailers and the other boxes indicate trucks. He said he did it this way because he is not into it now.
