Regarding 2c on the second p.age of the letter, Mr. Aichinger should
be asked to provide a sample of the type of standards which they
feel would be appropriate for managing utility corridor crossings
of the river.

Item 2d in the letter indicates that in the Implementation Section
(Ordinance) the City should indicate how the additional 4 feet of
roadway will be obtained for the designated river trail route.
This will require an amendment to the platting ordinance.

2e involves standards necessary for floodplain management, and as
I understand the City now has adopted the necessary flood plan regul-
ations. Apparently this information has not been forwarded to the
EQB.

On the last page of the letter the issue of the lot sizes requirements is
again raised. Mr. Aichinger has asked that the City specifically address
how they propose to modify current lot size standards to be consistent with
the Metropolitan Council's Development Guide. To resolve this issue as
well as the others raised in the July.24 letter, the City should schedule
a meeting with Mr. Aichinger.

If you have any questions or comments regarding this letter, please get
in touch with me. I will await any further action on the Critical Area
Plan until I hear from you.

Sincerely,

WEH~MAN, CHAPMAN ASSOCIATES,

Dexter O.
