S, Senate <br />353 Russell Senate Office Building <br />Washington, D.C. 20510 <br /> <br />RE: Letter of appreciation for your work on Federal Revenue Sharing <br /> <br />Dear Senator Durenberger: <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of R~msey at their regular meeting of July 22, <br />1980 directed that I write and thank you for the fine job you have done in <br />saving the General Revenue Sharing program. The City Council and the citi- <br />zens of the City of Ramsey are very appreciative of the effort you have put <br />in saving this Federal program. <br /> <br />Inasmuch as the Administration and Congress is having problems funding <br />government programs in the grant area, why is it not possible for the <br />Cor~ress and the Administration to use the General Revenue Sharing Program <br />as the model Federal program for returning the tax dollars to the <br />Communities at the least cost?
