2 <br /> <br /> PROPOSED SUBSi DIZED <br /> HOUSING PROJECT <br /> <br />Proiect or application for sub- <br />sidy funds was approved by <br />governing body within past <br />two years but was rejected by <br />HUD or is still awaiting a <br />decision at HUD. <br /> <br /> HOUSING AND REDEVEL- <br /> OPMENT AUTHORITY <br />Community has: <br /> <br />(1) Established an active local <br /> HRA and appointed a <br /> Board of Commissioners. <br /> If an HRA is est3blished, <br /> but subsequently the <br /> terms of appointment <br /> expire without reappoint- <br /> ment, and Board meet- <br /> ings bec~me very infre- <br /> quent, if hetd at all, the <br /> HRA is considered <br /> /nactive and points would <br /> not be awarded; or <br />(2) Entered into a coopera- <br /> tive agreement with <br /> Metro H RA or a county <br /> HRA to carry out Iow- <br /> income housing pro- <br /> grams in the community. <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> CODES AND ORDINANCES <br />Points allowed for provisions <br />in existing codes and ordin- <br />ances which facilitate Iow- <br />and-moderate-income hous- <br />ing including: <br /> <br />-- PUD Ordinance (i.e. provisions <br /> within zoning ordinance or <br /> a separate ordinance which <br /> permits flexibility in density <br /> and type of dwellings with- <br /> in designated areas). <br /> <br />-- Specific provisions in ordin- <br /> ances for Iow-and-moderate- <br /> cost housing (i.e. percentage <br /> requirements for subsidized <br /> units, density bonuses, etc.). <br /> <br />-- No house size requirements <br /> for single ar multifamily <br /> housing. <br /> <br />-- No garage requirement for <br /> single or multifamily <br /> housing. <br /> <br />-- Lot-size requirement for <br /> single-family homes at or <br /> below 7,500 square feet -for <br /> a~ least 30 percent of the <br /> community's residential <br /> land. <br /> <br />-- Housing maintenance code <br /> adopted. <br /> <br />-- Active code enforcement, <br /> urban renewal, or o~her pro- <br /> gram to eliminate substand- <br /> ard housing. <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br /> <br />
